Nikko- 4 year old Doberman Pincher- DOB 6/6/12

Nikko is one of the sweetest boys that you will meet.  He is neutered and up to date on all of his shots.  His ears were cut as a puppy, but he has one floppy ear after developing an infection from the wrapping; we think it gives him character! 

There is not an aggressive bone in Nikko’s body and he will even move over and share his food bowl with you!  He has grown up in a home with 5 children and he loves constant attention.  Nikko absolutely loves to run and play and never seems to get tired.  He loves to play with all dogs but since he is very energetic and so excited to play, larger, more playful dogs usually do much better with him. He is currently in a home with 2 cats, but they are not fond of his playfulness.  He loves to go on walks, but tends to still pull and really needs more exposure to walking on a leash.  He will listen to some commands and knows how to “Sit”, “Lay Down”, “Paw” with both paws & “Stay”. He loves to play with his Kong and wags his tail with joy every time he sees the peanut butter jar.  

Nikko has issues with anxiety and is on Paxil .  We feel that he would really benefit from the right environment and the proper time, attention and exercise that he needs and deserves.  

Our family loves him very much, but knows that he needs a new “calmer” home in order to help him.  Nikko would do best in a low-key environment without a lot of excitement and lots of space to run and play.  He would be fine with older children and I would suggest no smaller animals.
