Roscoe is a true gem, a wonderful, sweet, 2 yr. old, Staffordshire Terrier mix, maybe a little bit of Boxer thrown in for good measure. Saved by Rescue Ridge from a local, N. J. shelter, Roscoe was found in Newark, N. J. roaming the streets, a skinny stray with a heart of gold. To meet Roscoe is to love Roscoe! He loves people and is very well mannered, too. Roscoe was in a temporary foster home where he was the perfect house guest, including toward his feline companions. He and the cats snuggled and slept together! Can you imagine? A stray pup who is cat-friendly! Roscoe is housebroken, crate trained, knows several commands, loves to play fetch, walks superbly on a leash, takes toys, treats and food gently, and has the temperament that makes anyone with him feel calmer and loved. Oh, he is also a snuggler and a kisser! Roscoe walked well in his pack walks at the local shelter. He went to several adoption events and was wonderful with adults and children alike. The shelter suggested that he be the only dog in the home. As we get to know Roscoe better, we will assess if he could be dog friendly or dog selective. Roscoe is great in the car, was wonderful at shelter adoption events, and will make a fabulous family member. Please apply to adopt Roscoe in central N. J. at RescueRidge.com and text 732 546 8805 or email rescueridgeshelter@gmail.com for a meet and greet. Here is Roscoe's video debut: https://youtu.be/BS_oT0tNfTs
