Dixie is a lovely shy, sweet, gentle, one-year-old Collie/ Retriever mix. She is waiting in her kennel for a foster or forever home at Rescue Ridge in Monmouth County, NJ. Dixie would do well in a low-key home to help her come out of her shell. For this reason, she is best in a home with a mellow/calm smaller dog and older children. She would also do best where someone is home during the day. Dixie is housebroken, enjoys a nice walk, and really loves to just snuggle next to you once she trusts you. She has no toy, treat, or food issues and will flourish into a lovely family dog in a patient, loving home.
