This adorable, sweet boy is new to Rescue Ridge. Niko was saved from the streets of Philadelphia when a good samaritan witnessed kids trying to abuse him. She contacted Rescue Ridge and we stepped up to take him. Despite his past, Niko is the most loving, people-friendly dog. He loves everyone he meets and is very interested in playing with other dogs as well. Niko’s front leg suffered some type of trauma, probably when he was very young. We have had it x-rayed and the vet has determined that there is nothing further to do for it. It does not seem to bother Niko. He can run and walk and play fine. He tires more quickly, so he is not a good candidate for anyone who wants to go on very long hikes. Niko is approximately 1-2 years old, neutered, and current with all vaccines. Our wonderful volunteers have taken him out and socialized him and he enjoys every second! He will need training, but he’s young, smart, and willing to learn.
