This beauty is Lola. Lola is an approximately 4 yr old Bernese Mountain dog. Lola was used as a breeding dog and had never experienced life in a home until she came to Rescue Ridge. Lola is currently in a foster home and her foster mom reports that she is affectionate, housebroken and non-destructive. She does not like to be crated, preferring to sleep in her dog bed. Lola walks well on a leash, but is still learning what it means to be a pet living in a home. She can get a little rough when she plays and we would recommend her adopter hire a trainer to work with her on this behavior. Lola doesn’t mind passing other dogs on a walk but does not want to play with or live with another dog. Lola really enjoys spending time outside, so a fenced yard is a must for this girl. We are looking for an adopter who is patient and understanding of Lola’s background and is willing to continue working on the training and socialization Lola needs. A home with older teens or no children would be best. If you are interested in meeting Lola, please fill out an adoption application at rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to you to schedule a meet. Please, no inquiries without an adoption application.
