Meet Oakley, an adorable 60 lb, five year-old Pittie mix. Oakley found himself in an overcrowded shelter after being dumped there by the only family he had ever known.  It’s a sad story as this sweet boy has so much love to give to a family that deserves it. Oakley is a friendly and affectionate boy. He’s the perfect age too- still loves to play, but mature enough to settle down when playtime is over. Oakley loves going for walks and has nice leash manners. He knows some commands, and he’s even housebroken! His only request is to be the only dog in your home. Oakley would be a wonderful companion or family dog for slightly older kids. Please consider opening your heart and your home to this wonderful boy! Adorable Oakley recently got a break from the shelter and spent some time at the home of one of our volunteers. He was a fabulous house guest! He’s completely housebroken and super well-behaved in the home. He enjoyed long strolls through her neighborhood, naps on the couch, and, of course, all the belly rubs she was willing to give! He was also a fabulous co-pilot in the car! Oakley has been patiently waiting for someone to meet him and discover what a good boy he is!
