Born October 9, 2000
Very loving one or two person dog -- great companion; rides all over the place in my leather jacket with his nose and ears sticking out. Lays upside down in my arms when I walk around. Does tricks for love or treats (but prefers treats of course, especially Bil Jac's liver treats for which he'd rob a bank for you)! Barks very little which is a big plus. Also a big plus is his incredible ears and waterfall cascading tail that arches over his back. "He's really cute" is the most common phrase heard when walking him. Unfortunately, within the last year some children abused him and since then he's unpredictable around them if they are romping around. He also "doesn't really appreciate it" if you bang into him with your leg so he will tell your pant leg about his feelings. The reason I need to find a home for him is because I have children and grandchildren around who don't understand that running and romping and squealing and yelling make little Chihuahuas nervous and scared. When he gets scared like this he has snapped at them. I am 64 years old and a professional and have had dogs all my life. I can honestly say that Gizmo has been the best friend I have ever had and nothing has ever hurt me more than to have to let him go. Personally I think I should keep him and look for a home for "the children" instead but my family doesn't seem to agree with me on such things. Therefore, I really want him to find a good home where he will be loved and appreciated and "the king of the roost". He's not good when there are other pets with which he must compete because when that happens he gets very sad and his eyes tell the story, "Why are you cheating on me? Haven't I been your best friend and how can you now love another?" He'll be your buddy if treated as your best friend.
Whoever you are, thank you for taking him and loving him for me. The tears will be hard to stop flowing but if I know you'll love him, then hopefully I can make it through the day.
On '11-01-31 Gizmo was adopted.
