Hello my friends, I know that most are involved in some aspect of animal rescue and have your hands full trying to find homes for the animals you care for. And, you probably get many desperate pleas about pit bulls in need of homes and I apologize for imposing on you but this little girl, Allie, touched my heart. I had in her my home for two visits with the hope of fostering and/or adopting her. Spring, Ernie and Allie got along but ultimately I decided, with a very, very heavy heart, that as a single person I would not be able to provide the proper care and supervision for these 3 dogs. So, I promised I would do all I could to help find Allie a home. Who knows, maybe after reading the description below you will recall someone you spoke to recently or will soon meet someone, that one special person who understands the value of adopting an adult dog and would appreciate how wonderful it is to have a dog friendly pit bull. Her foster folks have sold their home and are moving out of state first week of October and will not be able to take her with them. The clock is ticking.... Ali is a 6 y/o female, pit bull terrier, brindle/white, 45 lbs. Owned by one family for 6 years until they couldn't take care of her and gave her to a man in Passaic who posted flyers all over offering "free pit bull". Alex, the now foster dad (a START II volunteer) saw the flyer contacted the man to get more information and discourage this type of advertisement. Eventually, Alex picked up Ali and she became his foster dog. However, before this Ali was passed around from home to home in the Passaic/Paterson area. She has been spayed, vaccinated and had her teeth cleaned. Alex was able to obtain her original medical records which indicate a history of false pregancies. Ali is friendly with all people and all dogs. She is housebroken, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, knows sit and wait. Ali is smart, playful, afffectionate, sweet and attentive. She has very dark, soulful eyes and a tiny angelic face that begs for kisses! I am attaching the flyer Allie's foster folks made about her with their contact information.
