Due to a military commitment, Dora has to be re-homed and she is running out of time. Dora’s situation is now urgent and if she does not find her new family soon, she will be returned to the shelter from which she was rescued as a pup. She would not survive a return to a shelter due to her reactivity to other dogs. She has walked on leash around other dogs in her neighborhood , but she cannot live with any other animals. At just over 4 years old, this sweet girl has so much to offer. She is sweet, loves to cuddle and also has the energy to keep up with an active family. She is great with everyone she meets and loves to play with anyone who’s game. She’s very attentive and has gone through basic training classes – a quick study, she loves to show her stuff. Dora is great in the house, consistently exhibiting positive behaviors – she will fit in easily into a new home environment. She LOVES people, including the little children. She is even gentle with toddlers but her family wants to play it safe and suggests that she be adopted by adults, or by a family with children age 5 or older. She would not hurt the small children but she might knock them down if she runs and plays in the yard. She is very athletic, loves to run, loves to walk and is in excellent health. She has a gorgeous, shiny mink colored coat. If you have the room in your home and your heart to welcome Dora, please don’t hesitate to call to meet her. She is a love and ready to move on to the next chapter of her life – hopefully with a new family of her very own. Dora is up-to-date on all vaccinations and is spayed.
