Billy is an 8-year-old black lab who was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma. Billy's mom died of leukemia in January, leaving Billy and his canine friend Mira along with 11 cats. Billy has been living in a kennel since January. Billy needs a permanent foster home where he can live out the remainder of his life with a family that with love and care for him. Billy has started his chemotherapy treatments for his Lymphoma and all of his medical expenses will be paid for. Dogs treated for Lymphoma can live from 6 months to 18 months, depending on how they respond to the treatment. Dog generally tolerate chemotherapy well but there may be times when Billy will not feel well from his treatment. He is being treated at Northstar Vets in Clarksburg, NJ (near Six Flags Great Adventure). His foster family will need to bring Billy for his treatments and follow up visits. Right now Billy is active, loves to play, gets along with other dogs and cats, may be a little timid around men, but loves women, is quiet and is great around children. A really great, friendly dog. And he's not ready to give up on life just yet! We know finding a foster home for Billy may be a long-shot but we have to try.
