Hi there! My name is Sakari and I am an approximately one-year-old German Shepherd mix. May I take this opportunity to welcome you to my Petfinder page?! I can't tell you how ecstatic I am that you found me - I've been looking and waiting for you too, you know. I was found running loose with nowhere to go and spent some time in a shelter waiting patiently for my family to come and get me, but, much to my surprise, they never did! I was certain they would want me back because I am such a very good girl and I always tried so hard to make them proud of me. I learned all the commands and tricks that they taught me; I know how to sit and I am really good at giving my paw! (if I do say so myself) So, I ask you, who wouldn't want a dog like me? Okay, okay, I'll admit, since I am only about a year old, I do have my crazy moments here and there, like any youngster my age. I love to act crazy and run around, there's nothing I'd rather do than hug my people and kiss them all over, and sometimes it might take me a minute to listen and calm down, but isn't that the stuff kids are supposed to do? I mean, the most important thing is that I'm really smart and loving, and I'm working really hard to be a good family member, isn't it? Trouble is, now I don't have a family.... No one ever came to get me until the volunteers from Rescue Ridge took one look at me and saw my potential! So listen, now that you've finally found me, all you have to do is contact the nice people at Rescue Ridge to make me a part of YOUR family! Wouldn't that be great?! I promise I will work as hard as I possibly can to learn all of the things you want to teach me and to follow all the family rules at your (I mean OUR house!) I have all of my shots and Rescue Ridge made sure I had an operation so I can't have any puppies. I want a family of my own more than anything else - won't you make that phone call and come meet me so I can show you what a wonderful girl I am?
