Hi, my name is Petey. I am a handsome 2 ½ year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I am much taller and leaner than my breed, since I am mixed with Brittany, Collie, and Sheepdog but my personality is all Terrier. I've been waiting for someone to adopt me for almost two years. Many of my friends have been adopted but not me. None of the volunteers can understand why I haven't been adopted and neither can I. It makes me sad because I know I could be the perfect pet if someone would just give me a chance. I was found as a stray, but my rescuers believe that I lived in a home before since I was already neutered and housetrained. I absolutely ADORE people and am the sweetest boy you could ever meet. I am extremely mellow and laid back. I also love to go for walks and car rides. I do love to run about and play, but nothing compares to lounging around and getting my belly rubbed. I am a highly affectionate dog and always greet people with a wagging tail and kisses galore – sometimes jumping up to say hi. We are working on that and they say I am responsive to firm corrections. If you bring me home, you will have free access to my trainer until October 2010. I am a perfect gentleman in my foster home so I’m not sure why I haven’t found my furever home yet?
