Meet Corona!
Corona's foster parents feel she has a face only a mother could love, but her personality is a beauty.
Corona is beautiful 7 year-old Shar Pei mix. She may also be mixed with Greyhound, but she's medium height and slender, weighing about 45 lbs. She used to live in a home with children, but unfortunately one of them was allergic to dogs, and she had to be given up. Luckily, she came to us at RR; but, she really deserves a forever home where she can have a family of her own to provide the love and consistency she once had. Could it be yours?
For fun:
She loves being pet on her soft fur, and even makes little “purring” noises with her mouth when you pet her! She also enjoys going on car rides, going on walks, exploring the back yard, and chasing a soccer ball around.
Behavior:
Corona can be shy around some strangers at first, but warms up pretty quickly. With patience, she will become a loyal companion. As far as dogs go, she can be shy as well, but has been fostered in a home with three Akitas and a Rottweiler. She does not seem too fond of cats, however.
Training:
Corona is housebroken, and always asks nicely to be let outside by looking at you and doing her patented “pee-pee dance” as our volunteers call it. She knows several basic commands such as sit and give paw and seems very trainable. She is very attentive and takes treats gently from your hand.
If Corona sounds like the dog for you, please contact Rescue Ridge for further questions or schedule a meeting to see for yourself!
