Meet Cassidy! Cassidy is an adorable 3 year-old Cocker Spaniel who has had some sad times in his young life. Cassidy used to live in a home, but one day, he accidentally escaped. While he was out, this little guy was hit by a car. He survived the hit, and luckily a vet was able to make him better. Unfortunately, his owners refused to pay his medical bills and wouldn’t take him back, so he was sent to a local shelter. After some time at the shelter, he was about to be put to sleep when we were able to pull him. Now, he is hoping to find a home with someone who will want him and love him. And how can you not love that face? He loves to greet strangers by wagging his tiny stub of a tail and looking up with his mouth open and a gleam in his eyes; a “doggy smile” if you have ever seen one (like his profile picture). He seems to love everyone he meets. His fur is wavy and very soft, and surprisingly easy to clean for a long haired dog (all he needs is a little brush on his back and legs once in a while). For fun: Cassidy loves to run around the yard, play tug-of-war with his toys, and chew rawhides. He also likes to cuddle and lay on his back so you can scratch his belly. Behavior: Cassidy, like many small dogs, has a lot of energy. He is a sweet dog and loves everyone, but because of his poor upbringing, needs some practice with manners. He gets along with some dogs, but not all. He could potentially live with other dogs or cats. Training: He is housebroken and knows some basic commands. On the leash, he is improving, but still practice because he likes to pull. He also gets nervous sometimes when cars drive past (could you blame him after being hit by one?!), but has improved there as well. However, he loves to go on car rides and behaves well.
