Hi, my name is Kanda. I am a young, medium-sized female American Staffordshire Terrier. I am absolutely beautiful and I have a super-sweet personality to match. I am extremely well-mannered and will make an excellent family pet one day…but, I hope my new family finds me soon because time is not exactly on my side. Once used as a breeder dog, my owner decided he no longer wanted me around. He dumped me off on the side of a highway, leaving me to fend for my life on my own. Hungry and cold with no where to go, I really didn’t know where I was headed. My front paw was bleeding and no one was there to help me. Finally, a Good Samaritan had spotted me and pulled off the highway. She opened the door and called for me…I couldn’t believe my luck. With no hesitation at all, I jumped in the backseat and showered her with kisses. Although the one person in my life that took care of me left me abandoned, I still anxiously looked around and cried for him as the car pulled away. He was all I knew and now I had no idea where I was going. I eventually arrived at an animal shelter where I am currently being cared for. With no worries for lack of food, water or a warm place to sleep, my next concern seems to be an even greater one. I am in desperate search for a new family to love me and enjoy the loyal companionship that I am so eager to offer. I am an ABSOLUTE LOVE! I have an excellent temperament and I love to give kisses. I have impeccable manners and it is evident that I have already been housebroken. I am very responsive to basic commands, extremely obedient and would do anything for a treat. A sweetheart of a girl, my high affection level is sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face. The shelter workers tell me all the time what a pleasure it is to have me around, but they will be so happy once I find my loving furever family that I am so deserving of. I am fairly energetic and love to play ball. I am such a happy girl and am always excited when people come greet me at my kennel run, but I’m so sad when they leave. I always think this might be my new home, but I’m still here – eager and waiting. If you are looking for a loyal, loving addition to your family, please come down and meet me.
