Hi, my name is Kyle. I am a strikingly handsome White Shepherd/Am Staff mix. I am only 2 years old and I weigh approximately 50-55 pounds. I am a very happy boy who absolutely adores human affection. Just the slightest touch of your hand and I turn into a big ball of mush!
Not too long ago, I was living at a high-kill shelter down in Georgia. I spent my days in a cage waiting for my new family to find me. As family after family passed me by, I sadly watched other doggies go home with wagging tails. I’m not sure what I was doing wrong, but for some reason, no one wanted me. As time ticked away, they decided it was my turn to head to the gas chamber to be euthanized. I hear it’s pretty terrifying, so when they came for me, I tried to resist their efforts. I was pulled from my cage and when I thought my time had arrived to cross the rainbow bridge, to my surprise, I was put on a transport up to New Jersey. I had been rescued! Someone had seen the potential in me and decided to save my life! During my trip up north, I had befriended a little black terrier mix named Stan. We had become very close and then before I knew it, he was adopted. I’m so happy he found his new family, but I’m still waiting for mine. For now, I live with a wonderful foster family who has been teaching me basic obedience and showing me what it’s really like to be loved. They have been helping me improve my leash manners and are showing me how to be the perfect gentleman. Thanks to them, I am already housebroken! I also live with two Labradors who have been showing me how to properly behave in a home environment. I am an all-around great dog and will make someone an excellent companion. My foster family is so good to me, but what I really want is to meet the family that I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.
I am very affectionate and I love attention. I absolutely adore getting hugs and kisses and I gladly return them. I’ll sneak a few in when you’re not looking too! I would do great in a home with doggie brothers and sisters or as an only pet. I attend doggie daycare a few times a week and I look forward to romping around with all my doggie friends. I always make sure I greet the newbies too – I make them feel right at home! I haven’t had too much interaction with kitties, but with proper introduction, I may be able to live with them as well.
I am still a young boy and can offer a family the best of both worlds. I enjoy relaxing and I also love to run and play. I also love to go for car rides. At first, I am so excited that I stick my head out the window to feel the breeze through my fur, and when I’ve had enough, I curl right up in the backseat for a leisurely nap. I love going for adventures to the park where everyone stops to tell me how beautiful I am. You can’t see it, but my heart is as big as my ears. I’m looking for my furever family to give me the love and stability I have been looking for my whole life. Could you be them?
