Jo is a very special dog in search of the right family to dedicate the time and patience she needs to be happy and healthy. She came to us from a home when her family decided they could no longer afford her the time and attention she needed. She is a 4-year-old spayed German Shepherd Mix and weighs about 55 pounds. Jo is extremely loving and affectionate with her family, but often cautious of strangers and visitors. She is good with other dogs but should be introduced to them slowly (and away from your home if you're interested in adoption) to prevent any territorial behavior on both parts. Jo would do best in a home with older children who will not be easily tumbled over by a large dog. Jo knows most basic commands but would benefit from a basic obedience class and we would also recommend weekly visits to All for Doggies for daycare, as it will help with her socialization.
