Hi, my name is Kayley. I am a 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix and I am exceptionally small in size. I only weigh 30 pounds and I am a dainty little girl. Sadly, my life began as a tragic story. Beaten and left fighting for my life, my former owner abused me so badly that I could no longer coordinate my back legs and I was hardly able to walk. Fortunately, Rescue Ridge stepped in to save my life before it was too late. When I first arrived at my foster home, I was severely emaciated and weighed less than 20 pounds. After some much needed TLC, I started gaining weight and gaining trust for humans again. The volunteers helped to raise thousands of dollars to fix my legs for me. I had to undergo 2 separate surgeries and I am on my way to a phenomenal recovery. I have full use of my legs now and I can finally walk with ease. It takes me a little while to warm up to new people, so I am a little timid at first, but once I get to know you, I am guaranteed to steal your heart. Despite my horrible past, I am extremely friendly with everyone and very sweet-natured. I absolutely love running around outside and taking walks. I enjoy going for car rides, too – I curl up in the back seat and am very well-behaved. I am also completely housebroken. Just recently, I was moved into the kennel with the rest of my rescue family and I desperately need my furever family to find me and finally take me home. I would do best living in a home with other pets as they help build up my confidence. I have lived with other dogs my whole life and I get along well with cats too!
