Hi, my name is Hank. I am a 7-8 year young handsome Lab/(possible Am Staff) Mix. I spent 6 years of my life tied to a dog house, alone in a backyard. Shown no love or affection, I basically sat like a lawn ornament with no one to play with and no one to simply consider me a part of the family. Suddenly, my owner had to be taken to an assisted living home and no one in the family wanted to take me home with them. They threatened to drop me off at the shelter, where I surely would have met my fate many, many months ago. Thankfully, I was rescued and am in no danger of being put down, but I have now spent another year with still no home to call my own. I live in a kennel run and spend my days patiently waiting for someone to adopt me into their lives. I sure would love to know what it feels like to cuddle up next to someone and spend my days enjoying their company. As time passes, I wonder if I will ever have the opportunity to know what it feels like to really belong and to be loved. I have watched all of my other doggie kennelmates find their furever families – I don’t understand why I haven’t found mine? I am a mellow boy and all I want to do is finally settle in and relax into my new home. Although I am a big boy, I am a total mush – a complete sweetheart! I love to give kisses and would be such a loyal, devoted companion. Despite the fact that I have never lived inside a home, the volunteers have spent so much time working with me that you would never know I spent my life deprived of a kind, loving family. The volunteers have even taken me home with them whenever they could and they say how easily I fit right in. I am very easy going and am content just to be in your mere presence. I enjoy going for long walks or just lying around and doing absolutely nothing. Either way, I am happy. I’m very smart and I do learn quickly. My all-time favorite things to do are to give kisses, go for car rides and bury my bones. I am a low maintenance companion and have been in search of my best friend my entire life. Could you possibly be my miracle?
*********Please, if you or anyone you know is looking to ADOPT OR FOSTER a phenomenal dog, contact Paul at nohobbies@gmail.com. If you are interested in fostering, all supplies (including food, toys, bed, etc) will be covered at our expense. All we ask for is a loving home so Hank can finally leave the kennel until we find his furever home. Thank you kindly for your consideration.***************
